The sky was just too inviting yesterday afternoon, so I headed back out to a near by location to make another run at capturing the clouds. Funny how that works, but the clouds were not anywhere near the foregrounds that I wanted to shoot. In fact, it was almost as if the clouds parted on either side of the fairways making a beautiful blue tear down the middle.

As the sun began to set I arrived at a small pond and shot this image just because of the reflection. In hind site, I think that if I stayed with this scene a little longer, I may have been able to get something. No worries, there is always tomorrow (or is there)?

Cheers.

There are often times when I become so absorbed in the moment that I don't even experience time. It is kind of like an out of body experience where you are watching something from out side of its present form. This is how I feel when I do macro photography. I experienced it a few months ago, when I was chasing caterpillars in the woods. You become so absorbed with watching the macro world around you that it is almost like nothing else exists.

This weekend I went back to Brookside Gardens to have another go at the Butterflies. It is an amazing place and part of the fun is seeing the joy of the children and their expressions as they walk among these beautiful creatures. Some are afraid and some are curious but they all seem to light up with the radiance that expels true love and happiness.

The curiosity of a child, maybe thats what macro photography brings back for me. It is like living in a dream where time doesn't matter, where all you experience is the excitement of what is going to happen next, forgetting about everything else in the world and simply getting lost in time.

Cheers.

This afternoon Don, Kelvin and I went out to photograph some antique cars and do some light painting. It was a gorgeous afternoon and a great evening of trying to light up the cars. Thanks Don!

Cheers.
