Last weekend I was at a loss. My favorite companion (second only to my wife) was off for a walk with my daughter on another part of the battle field. So I was very much on my own in terms of finding an image to make. I first headed to old town to try and shoot some roof tops as the sun went down, but I wasn't feeling it. So I returned to a spot where Levi and I went walking a week or so ago.

Before I arrived my original intent was to shoot an old out building that has some great trees near by. But if by magic the clouds behind these trees started to form and created a beuatiful high contrast scene. I ran out into the field and started shooting this scene from a dozen different angles. I am still working on the series and really have not decided on what treatment but this is the first one that I worked up while I was on my way to work. (Probably not the best viewing light but I like to try and maximize the amount of time that I can thinking about photographs).

Cheers
